Juventus Denied Serie A Title Win After Losing Udinese

Juventus needed a win desperately to defend Italia Serie A title yet again but Udinese denied them the victory by claiming a stunning 2-1 win over the Turin side.

A victory could have sealed the title for the ninth times for Juve but the hosts staged a comeback from a goal down after the break and snatched the victory with an injury-time goal from Seko Fontana.

Dutch player and centre-back Matthijs de Ligt had put the defending champions in the lead in the first half before struggling Udinese found an equalizer through Ilija Nestorovski after the break in the 52nd minute.

With three games remaining for the Maurizio Sarri led team, the maximum points were enough to extend their lead over the nearest team Atalanta by nine points for a title win. On the other hand, a loss for Udinese could put them on the brink of relegation with four points above the red line.
