Jurgen Klopp Kicks Against CAS Overturning Manchester City Two-Year Ban
Left to the Liverpool manager, his counterparts should have been allowed to do the full terms of the ban including fine given them because that in his view will be good for the sport. City challenged the ban and fine which the Pep Guardiola described as being "prejudicial" towards the club.
"It's a serious subject. From a personal point of view, I'm happy City can play Champions League last year," said Klopp. "They don't have 10-12 games less now in Premier League - no other team would have had a chance in the league."
CAS also ruled that the £30million fine given to MCFC be reduced by 2/3 which means that they will now pay £10million and walk away free from the ban based on the ground that it is time-barred.
"FFP is a good idea - but it's not up to me to judge it, I just think we should all stick to FFP rules," he added. "If the richest clubs and countries can do what they want to do, then that makes it difficult. That would lead to a world league, it would depend on who owns the clubs and not the names of the clubs."
With five matches remaining in the season, City are guaranteed of participating in the Champions League next season as they are in second place with 72 points in the EPL table.
