Jose Mourinho Calls For End Of Financial Fair Play
Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has openly criticized the Financial Fair Play regulations which he described as being a "circus" that is meant to "end" with Manchester City's case.
Uefa issued a two-year ban to City over an allegation of breaching the FFP regulations over the period of 2012 and 2016, but the ruling was overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport and also reduced the fine handed to the club by 2/3.
"Consistency I like, clarity...I don't like doubts," Mourinho complained about the CAS ruling on MCFC case which his Liverpool Jurgen Klopp counterpart also criticized.
Klopp argued that the body should have upheld the position of the UEFA on City rather than overturned it because no other clubs in the Premier League or other domestic leagues would have survived that.
"When I said a few years ago I like the concept, I like the concept. What I don't like is the interpretation of it," The Portuguese manager explained further. "Financial Fair Play is the same thing. When I say it should finish, it is not because I do not agree with the basic principle."
