Gabriel Martinell Signs Long-term Deal With Arsenal


Gabriel Martinell has committed more years to Arsenal after signing a new long-term contract with the club on Friday. 

Martinell joined the club last season from the Brazilian side Ituano and has made 26 appearances and 10 goals in all competition in his debut season which has been impressive.

"I am very happy that Gabi has signed a new contract with us," said Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. "He is a very talented young player and he has impressed us with his performances, attitude, and work-rate."

The forward, 19, followed in the stead of his teammate Saka Bukayo, who the club's technical director, Edu described as a talented player, signed a long-term deal to remain at the club. 

He added, "We are looking forward to getting him back to full fitness and to full fitness and to watching his development at our club."
