Formula One: Red Bull Boss Rejects Sebastian Vettel's Return

Red Bull Racing Team Principal, Christian Horner, has dashed Sebastian Vettel's hope of rejoining the team as he prepares to leave Ferrari next season after talks over deal extension failed.

Carlos Sainz will be leaving McLaren next season to join Ferrari while Sebastian remains without a team and nurses hope of returning to the team with which he won all his four world championship titles before leaving for Ferrari in 2015.

Christain gave his position over the exiting Ferrari driver saying that there is certainly a "definite no" chance for him after the German raised the expectation of his return to his former team saying on Thursday that he hopes he would get a "yes" response from the team.

Explaining why the former F1 champion might not be able to rejoin the team, Horner told Sky Sports F1 that they want to be committed to their drivers and that no one would have expected him to leave Ferrari to be on the transfer market.

"We didn't expect him to be on the market this year and our commitment is to our exiting drivers," said Horner. "We think we've got a great pairing in Max and Alex. We think that has a great potential for the future as well."

Neither Alex Albon nor Max Verstappen made the top of the season opener, Austrian GP, on Sunday which Max was the race defending winner from last season. However, The Dutchman, Max, contract with the team runs until 2023 while Alex has until the end of 2021 left in his contract.

Despite admitting that Seb's spell with the team was impressive and did deliver on titles, but when asked if the team decision could change along the line, Horner goes further to say, "That is a definite no, I'm afraid."
