Chelsea Considering Making Kai Havertz Third Major Signing

Chelsea are reportedly still considering making a move for Bayer Leverkusen forward Kai Havertz this summer despite the huge fee demand for the player.

Havertz, who stands to be the Premier League side's third major, started his professional footballing career at the club in 2016 and has two years reaming in his contract. Being a protege of the club, he made his debut in the side's 2-1 loss to Werder Bremen.

Blues are vying for their Champions League qualification and will need a win against Wolverhampton in the last game of the season. Should the Bundesliga agree to sell the 21-year-old, Blues have a transfer fee of £90million to meet to seal a deal for the attacking midfielder.

Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech are the two major signings already completed by the Chelsea. In the midst of the speculation, the German player hinted at his interest to join his countryman, Werner, at Chelsea and liked a picture update of the former RB Leipzig arrival in England on Sunday.

Since Chelsea's transfer ban was lifted in December, Ziyech and Werner are the two players signed under Frank Lampard since he succeeded Maurizio Sarri last summer.
