Alexis Sanchez: Inter Milan Near Securing Loan Transfer Extension From Manchester United
Inter Milan are close on securing loan transfer extension with Manchester United for their loanee Alexis Sanchez to remain for yet another season.
The Chilean has been in the middle of complacency from United for being considered as a flop which led to his loan move to Inter Milan, a side that now wants to keep him around as his transfer contract is set to expire next month.
Over the weekend, it was reported that Inter requested that United offered the former Arsenal forward an extension of his transfer which actually was not really what the Premier League side intended for a player they are considering to sell.
It is now understood that Inter chief executive Beppe Marotta is working towards that objective and is near securing a loan deal extension with United for the 31-year-old to remain for yet another season according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Sanchez, who at United failed to meet up with the hype he got on his transfer from Arsenal, has managed to win the favour of the club's manager Antonio Conte. Though the player's loan deal comes with an option to remain on a permanent deal which Inter have not triggered.
However, should Marotta seal an extension for Sanchez, it will also mean he will be participating in the side's Europa League campaign which will restart on August 5. He joined the club in a season-long loan move last summer - his teammate Romelu Lukaku also left United in the same transfer but in a permanent contract with the Italians.
