Scott McTominay Signs New Contract With Manchester United

Scott McTominay has extended his contract with Manchester United for another five years after a deal was struck between him and the club on Tuesday.

Already, the Scotland international has two years remaining in his contract and the club added three more years on top of that in the new deal for his impressive performance in the team. Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, in his comment, bore witness to the vital role he has played in the midfield.

The Norwegian manager, 47, described the 23-year-old as one that deserves his commendation for his tremendous effort in the team that brings "determination, tenacity, and skill" to their games.

He added, "As we always say the academy is the bedrock of the club and having come through the system everyone knows that Scott has shown the exact mentality that you need to succeed at Manchester United."

Scott was promoted to the senior team in 2017 and was first named in the team lineup in their game against Swansea but did not make his debut until Premier League game against Arsenal. He has since made 75 appearances having goal tally of seven.

"I'm so happy to sign this contract and play a part in the future ahead for this team," said Scott. "All I have ever known is United and I hope that my passion for the club shows every time I go onto the pitch. I'll continue to give everything for this club whenever I pull on this team."
