Premier League: Raheem Sterling Leads Manchester City To Beat 10-Man Arsenal
Manchester City returned break to claim conveniently 3-0 victory over 10-man Arsenal with Raheem Sterling leading the way and David Luiz got red-carded for a foul offense on Riyad Mahrez.
It was not until the brink of half time that City opened the scoring through Sterling and Luiz made the situation worse for Arsenal just after the break for pushing Riyad in the box and got red-carded. Kevin de Bruyne converted the spot-kick to double the lead for City.
10-man Arsenal was simply consumed by the more versatile side, City, and completed the scoring in the added minutes with Foden tapping in Sergio Aguero's shot that bound off the bar.
Not much of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was felt during the game, not even did Mikel Arteta bolster the attack by bringing in Mesut Ozil or Alexandre Lacazette. That aside, the situation could have been even worse for Gunners but Bernad Leno saved the team from conceding more goals with attempts from Sterling and de Bruyne.
Though, City's victory over Arsenal had no effects on Liverpool's chance of lifting the Premier League trophy only that they would need six points to secure the title.
That being said, the jerseys wore by both teams did not bear the players' names rather printed on them was Black Lives Matter in support of the ongoing protest of police brutality towards African-Americans in the United States.
