Pedro To Join AS Roma As Free Agent At Season-End
Pedro has found a new home for himself with AS Roma and he is set to move to the Italian side this summer as a free agent as he counts down to the end of his contract with Chelsea.
The Spaniard was offered an extension until season-end alongside teammate Willian whose contract will also run out at the same time. Willian is considering joining another London-based team, a move that potentially revolves between Arsenal and Tottenham should he have to leave at a free agent.
Since Chelsea are not keen on keeping the 32-year-old any longer having spent five seasons at the club, he is now set to join the Italian side on a two-year deal from which he is poised to earn £50,000-a-week in wages according to Sky Sports. It is understood that the contract comes with an option for an extension at its end for another 12 months.
Pedro yet has until July 26 to commit to Chelsea afterward he will be out to join Roma. He might not be available for Blues' remaining Champions League which will restart on August 7. Blues will face Bayern Munich in the knockout stages second-leg tie.
