Manchester United Youngster Angel Gomes Leaves Tomorrow
Manchester United and their teenage attacking midfielder, Angel Gomes, will part ways on Tuesday, 30 June, when his contract officially expires with the club despite Ole Gunnar Solksjaer's need for him to stay.
Gomes is a protege of the United academy and made his debut appearance replacing Wayne Rooney in the team's 2-0 win against Crystal Palace in 2017. He was voted Manchester United Premier cup most valuable player the same year.
"To be honest, I've not heard from them last night or this morning so it seems like they haven't managed to agree," said Solksjaer about the teenager who is linked with Chelsea and Juventus.
The Norwegian manager went on to reveal that United desire to keep him around and have offered him a contract extension which the youngster has not shown interest in signing.
"We've offered him a deal and hopefully he'll take that and if not I wish him all the best. From what I understand it's not too far away - if not we'll wish him all the best."
