Manchester United Reveal Transfer Offer Decision On Jadon Sancho
Manchester United have admitted they are not willing to match the transfer fee demanded by Bayern Munich for Jadon Sancho according to the club's senior official.
Dortmund have a price tag of over £100million for the winger who they are willing to keep despite his strong link with the Premier League side. According to Sky Sports, United senior officials have revealed the club would pay more than £50million for the player.
The officials blamed the club's inability to pay the fee stipulated by their Bundesliga counterparts on the financial impact caused by the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. Meanwhile, Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke had expressed the club's intent to keep the 20-year-old and mentioned that most clubs will not be able to meet their demand for Jadon.
"I don't think a club will pay the sum. There is also no coronavirus discount on him," Watzke told Sport1 over the weekend. "We have left the period where we had to sell players. I don't think there will be a summer transfer."
The England starlet was signed from Manchester City for £8m in 2017 and has been impressive in his spell at the German side, having 19 league goals in 66 appearances.
