Manchester United Line Up Jack Grealish For Transfer Amidst Interest In Kai Havertz
Manchester United have been linked to Aston Villa's Jack Grealish amidst having the same interest in Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Kai Havertz.
As Villa continued to struggle in the Premier League, Grealish stands to leave the side should they relegate being the outstanding player in the team. The struggling club is understood to be demanding between £50m - £80m for the attacking midfielder who has scored nine goals in 31 appearances and three years remaining in his contract.
Speaking on Grealish's future, his agent Jonathan Barnett in an interview with Sport Witness admitting the player would leave the club at some point because he has got all the qualities needed to make him the "big star" he would like to be.
"I think he's the most fantastic player [in Villa]," said Jonathan. "He has a great future. It's all ahead of him. He's got everything to become a really big star.
United can still sign Grealish for a much lesser fee should Villa relegate as their interest in Havertz is being challenged by has been Bayern Munich whose manager Hansi Flick described him as a player "strong goalscoring instinct" that any top side would like to have.
"I think very few coaches wouldn't want to have Kai Havertz in their team," Flick told MEN Sport. "He moves very well between the lines, is quite fast, safe on the ball, and is good at finding space."
Havertz is a protege of Bayer academy and has consolidated in the team since his promotion to the senior team in 2015 having a goal tally of 43 in 143 appearances in all competitions.
Just as Grealish, Bayer are handing out a fee of £90m for the attacking midfielder and had turned down a deal of £71m from Real Madrid who offered to loan him back to the Bundesliga side after his debut season.
