FA Cup: Ross Barkley Sends Chelsea Into Semi-finals To Meet Manchester United

It is going to be a tough FA Cup semi-finals as Chelsea joined Manchester United and Arsenal in the qualification for the Last four after beating Leicester City 1-0 at King Power Stadium.

After a goalless first half, resilient Foxes could not make it through as Willian's cross found Ross Barkley in the box for a tap in that beat Kasper Schmeichel to the goal. Willy Caballero saved a 20-yard shot from Foxes' Youri Tielemans early into the match to keep the scores goalless until Barkley struck.

Blues' manager Frank Lampard was unsettled with the team's performance when the goal was not coming in but there was relief soon after Barkley registered in the winning goal. Barkley later came close to doubling the lead a fast break that he inspired and smacked the ball onto Foxes' Schmeichel's catch.

Foxes forward James Maddison missed the game over an injury leaving their leading goalscorer James Vardy to the job and he was unable to get the needed scoring chances to lift the team.

Chelsea have been drawn to meet Manchester United in the semifinal while Arsenal will face the winner between Manchester City and Newcastle United.

United booked their place in the semi-finals after beating Norwich 2-1 with Odion Ighalo scoring the opening goal and Harry Maguire sealing the victory with an injury-time goal.
