Top-Flight Clubs Lineup To Sign Matteo Guendouzi As Arsenal Want To Get Rid Of Him For Misconduct


Embattled Arsenal midfielder, Matteo Guendouzi, may be set for a transfer this summer, and Manchester United have reportedly joined the list of top-flight clubs interested in securing his move. 

Mikel Arteta dropped the midfielder from the team's lineup in their 2-0 win against Southampton on Thursday over his unacceptable misconduct towards Brighton player Neal Maupay, whom he grabbed by the neck during Arsenal's 2-1 away defeat at Annex Stadium on Saturday. 

Maupay scored the second goal in the injury time that drown Arsenal for their second defeat in a row on their return of football suspension over the coronavirus pandemic. Guendouzi humiliated the Brighton player and threw him to the floor after holding him by the neck, bragging about how well he is paid compared to his opponent.

The club is understood to be ready to sell the Frenchman for his gross misconduct and they have revealed their asking price should any club have a need of him. According to L'Equipe, Arsenal are ready to open talks for his transfer for a fee of £36m. 

In the midst of the breakdown of the relationship between Arsenal and the 21-year-old, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, and Inter Milan are amongst the clubs that have reportedly lined up to sign him this summer.
