Ben Chilwell: Leicester City Left-Back On Two Premier League Clubs' Radar
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has since his appointment been monitoring the defender until now that the interest has intensified for the player who has four years to run in his contract and Manchester United have reportedly linked to the player for his signature in summer.
The left-back is considered as suitable to boost the defense alongside Emerson Palmieri and Cesar Azpilicueta whilst English defender's move to United will see him reunite with his former teammate Harry Maguire.
Mind you, Blues and Red Devils are strongly contending for the top four of the EPL table to secure a Champions League slot. Foxes, on the other hand, are on course to make an appearance in the competition as they are in third place with five points clear nearest team, Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Foxes are reluctant to sell the defender despite the financial difficulties inflicted on the club by the coronavirus lockdown. To cash in on the player, they are demanding £80 million for the player who has been with the club since 2015.
Should the 24-year-old make it to United, he will match the transfer fee of Maguire who moved to Old Trafford in a record-signing of £80 million - the highest fee for a defender.
