Chelsea Link To Kai Havertz Amidst Interest From Real Madrid, Bayern Munich

Kai Havertz potentially will be leaving Bayer Leverkusen in summer and Chelsea have reportedly joined the list of clubs considering making an offer for the attacking midfielder.

Chelsea, have secured a couple of agreements ahead of the summer transfer window with players like RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner and Ajax midfielder Hakim Zyech, who will officially join the club in July. In spite of those two, they have also lined up Ben Chilwell for signing.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Bayern Munich also have the youngster lined up for transfer but none have made a formal offer for the 20-year-old expected Real Madrid whose deal offer was turned down by Leverkusen.

Havertz has two more seasons to run in his contract with the Bundesliga side and has a price tag of £90 million which Real failed to meet - the Spaniards offered to pay £71m with an option to loan him back to the club after his debut season in Spain.

Chelsea are understood to be ready to contend for the player's signature with United or any other teams as they are prepared to spend £70 million for his transfer according to The Sun. The fee is yet lesser than the initial offer made by Real.

United are only considering the forward should they fail to land a deal with Jack Grealish from Aston Villa but Bayern have a different level of interest as their head coach Hansi Flick told EPSN that the German starlet as a "fantastic player" and has qualities needed to make him "a really big star".

Though Reds' Jurgen Klopp fancies Havertz for signing, yet might not stand the chance because of the impact of the coronavirus lockdown that has lasted for three months.
