Anthony Joshua And Tyson Fury Agree On Two-Fight Deal

The much-anticipated fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is set to hold and they will be doing the fight twice. The first fight is scheduled to hold sometimes in the summer of 2021.

Tyson returned to boxing after two two year hiatus and rose to the peak of his boxing career once again after defeating American fighter Deontay Wilder in a rematch to claim the WBC heavyweight title in a seven-round knockout in Las Vegas in February. The loss ended Wilder's undefeated run while Tyson clinched on to remain unbeaten in his career.

Though the WBA heavyweight champion has a mandatory fight with another British fighter, Dillian Whyte, Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn told Sky Sports that his team is in talks with Tyson's team on a fight between the two heavyweight fighters.

"We're making great progress," said Eddie. "It's fair to say [Joshua and Fury] are in management regarding the financial terms of the fight.

"We've been talking to [Fury's management] MTK, giving them the assurance from Joshua's side that all the details on the structure of the deal is approved from our side. And it is from Fury's side, as well."

Apparently, the fight between Tyson and Joshua will unify all four heavyweight belts in boxing in the United Kingdom. In this fight, somebody definitely will emerge as the unified heavyweight champion.

Joshua reclaimed the IBO, WBA, and WBO heavyweight titles from Mexican-American Andy Ruiz Jr. in a rematch in Saudi Arabia in December. AJ's first fight with the Mexican was a big flop as he was already wasted in the fifth round and knocked out in the seventh round.

"The first fight could happen next summer. It will be 2021," Eddie revealed. "There is a big period of the time where Whyte should get his shot at the title. That's important to us. The main positive news is that Joshua and Fury have agreed to a two-fight deal, in essence."
