Andy Murray Wants To Participate In US, French Open
Harry Murray has teased about participating in the US and French Open on the sport's return from Covid-19 pandemic lockdown and his return from a pelvic injury that kept him out of action since November.
The three-time Grand Slam is participating in the ongoing Battle of the Brits Exhibition in Roehampton and he defeated Liam Broady in straight set, 6-2 6-2.
Speaking after the match, the 33-year-old revealed that making a comeback to the Gram Slam is top on his priority and he is keen on it regardless of the situation.
"Playing the Grand Slams would be my priority," he said. "The schedule is tricky and I understand the reason why it is like that. I don't mind what the situation is, providing it is safe."
Ever since the former world number one had hip resurfacing done in 2017, his performances plummeted to an all-time low in his career - he is currently ranked 85th, couple with trophy-drought which ended by winning the 2019 European Open for his first title after surgery.
"I don't mind what the situation is, providing it is safe," he added. "If I was told I could take one person with me, for example, you can make that work. I'd probably go with a physio and some coaching could be done remotely."
