Zlatan Ibrahimovic Suffers Career Threatening Calf Injury

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's career may have just reached its abrupt end after the AC Milan striker sustained a calf injury during a training section on Monday.

Milan confirmed the injury and revealed that the Swede will be tested to know the extent of the injury but it is believed to be such that is threatening to his football career. According to Marca, Ibrahimovic is suspected to have ruptured his Achilles tendon. 

The former Manchester United striker rejoined the Italians in December for a six-month deal after a two-season spell in L.A Galaxy. At United, he won the Europa League title with the team before leaving in a shock announcement.

Confirming the former LA Galaxy striker's situation, Milan said in a statement: "We will know the entity of the problems." Meanwhile, Italian clubs are just coming out of football suspension since March when the league was suspended over coronavirus pandemic.
