Willian Has "Agreed" To Join Tottenham In Summer
Chelsea's Willian will be heading to Tottenham Hotspurs in summer after he reportedly agreed to join the club in summer when he will leaving Stanford Bridge as a free agent. This will mean a reunion for him and Jose Mourinho.
It was previously speculated that the Brazilian will be heading to Arsenal as an exchange for Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, who is keen on leaving Gunners in summer, and Chelsea has been linked to him. Apparent, that rumour might have just fallen flat on its face if the claim by beIN Sports stands.
Willian's link to Arsenal might have failed because of the club's reluctance to meet his demand of a three-year contract considering his age, though his wages of £120,000-a-week reportedly meets Arsenal budget.
Chelsea are not keen on keeping Willian longer than summer and would let him leave in June when his contract will expire. Eventually, his seven-season spell at Chelsea and a reunion with Jose Mourinho at White Hart Lane might be his next move according to beIN Sports.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed a title-ladened spell at Chelsea with which he won the UEFA Europa League and two Premier League titles. He joined the club from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013.
