Real Madrid In Race For Erling Haaland Signature In Summer
Real could not afford not to race for Erling's signature as the Borussia Dortmund forward is at a point of prominence in his football career, a track record that dates back to his days at Red Salzburg for his performance both in the domestic league and the UEFA Champions League.
Besides performance, the Norwegian has age on his side being a 19-year-old striker with a sensation 13 goals in all 13 appearances for the Bundesliga side this season. Erling could not but be the right choice for the Spaniards who have been struggling since Cristiano Ronaldo left for Juventus in 2018.
Real are also linked to Kylian Mbappe but that may not materialize as Paris Saint Germain have offered to increase the Frenchman's wages to equal that of Neymar Jr. The Ligue 1 champions desire to keep the striker until the end of his contract in 2022 than to lose him this summer transfer.
According to Diario Madridista, Real are understood to have lined up seven players to exchange with the teenager who has a £75 million release clause in his contract with Borussia. Erling was signed from Salzburg for a fee in the region of £20 million and has until 2022 in his contract.
