Raheem Sterling Closes In On Bumper Deal With Puma
Raheem Sterling and footwear manufacturer Puma are in talks over a massive advertising deal that is worth £100million and both parties are reportedly closed on reaching an agreed over the deal that is record-breaking for a footballer with the brand.
As the Manchester City midfielder is towards the end of his contract with Nike, the German kits maker will be replacing them if a deal is signed with the player. The contract is expected to last for 10 years and will make him the highest-paid football player representing the brand.
Sterling extended his contract with City last year for another five years from which he earns weekly wages of £300,000. The attacking midfielder's scintillating performance since joining the team from Liverpool is understood to be the reason the kit makers found him as their next deal as his contract with Nike expires in June.
Just as Puma is takeover from Nike with Sterling, the brand replaced their American counterparts as Manchester City kits suppliers in 2019 after agreeing to a 10-year deal worth £650m with the club.
