Manchester City: David Silva Wants Contract Extended
David Silva wants to remain at Manchester City until the end of the season which has been interrupted by the suspension as he has a few weeks left in his contract.
The Spaniard has until the end of June to stay at the club and will have to leave as a free agent if the contract is not extended after the Premier League returns from suspension next month.
Citizens have ten games remaining left to play and also want to keep the 34-year-old until the end of the season rather letting him leave the side mid-way through their remaining games just as the player wanted before leaving as a free agent according to Times.
Already, the season of out of reach for City as Liverpool are on the run for the first league title since 1989/90. Besides that, making the top four of the EPL table will not guarantee their Champions League qualification as they have been served two seasons ban by Uefa for breaking the FFP rules.
The midfielder is one of the club's long-serving player having spent ten seasons at the club he joined from Valencia in 2010. He won four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and three EFL Cups in his decade-long reign with a record of 73 goals in 423 appearances in all competitions.
