Liverpool To Rival Paris Saint Germain Over Signing Brazilian Starlet
Liverpool are going head-to-head with Paris Saint Germain over a Brazilian youngster Talles Magno who some have described as the new upcoming Neymar Jr.
The 17-year-old currently plays in his home league with Vasco de Gama and has won the attention of top-flight clubs in Europe like Juventus, Lazio, and Roma for his spectacular performance at the club.
Benfica had first made an approach for the player with a £2.5m offer which the Brazilian side rejected. The Portuguese side fell short because it is understood the teenage attacker has a buyout clause of £44.4m in his contract.
Reds' link to Samba starlet is faced with a rival interest from Paris Saint Germain who are hopeful they can sign the forward for a much lesser fee than his buyout clause. The starlet's fee is expected to drop as the Brazilian side is reportedly cash-strapped which can ease his fee for both Liverpool and PSG.
Unlike their rivals, the Ligue 1 side's players will be paying their players in full despite the Covid-19 lockdown which has left many European clubs struggling with their finances. Thus, they poised a threat to Liverpool's link to the player who scored two goals in 15 appearances.
