Kylian Mbappe Wants Transfer Clause Inserted In New £600,000-A-Week Contract With PSG
Kylian Mbappe, reportedly will concede to extending his contract with Paris Saint Germain but yet nurses interest in training with Real Madrid someday and has demanded that a transfer clause be included in the deal should there be need to leave Parc des Princes.
PSG are reluctant to let go of the former AS Monaco striker, who has been linked to the La Liga giants and offered to increase his wages to equal that of Neymar Jr's in their quest to fend off his exit in summer.
The new deal will see Mbappe earn as much as £600,000-a-week which is a tremendous increase from his current wages of £350,000-a-week. PSG are reportedly confident the bumper increase of the forward's salary will convince him to remain at the club until his contract expires in 2022 but as he has demanded a transfer clause will have to be inserted in the contract according to AS.
This necessary should Real make a move for him, they will have to meet the buyout clause stipulated in the contract which put him in the advantage. At 21-year-old, he is just in his prime as a footballer and has plenty of years to commit to the game.
As reported by L'Equipe, the Ligue 1 champions would prefer keeping the player until 2022 when he can leave for free to selling him to Real whose finances have been hit by the Covid-19 lockdown.
PSG have been crowned as the season's champions after the country's government canceled the season which they plan to reopen in September. It will be the club's sixth consecutive Ligue 1 title in a row.
