Inter Milan Rule Out Swapping Milan Skriniar With Paul Pogba

The summer transfer window will not see Paul Pogba leave Manchester United to join Inter Milan in a rumoured swap deal with Milan Skriniar as the Italians have reportedly declined interest in the transfer.

Despite Red Devils' desire to keep the midfielder at Old Trafford, leaving the club has been top on his desire with links not only to Inter but also to Real Madrid. The Spaniards' race for Pogba collapsed after they could not meet up with his transfer fee neither could they afford his £290,000-a-week wages after been hit by the coronavirus lockdown.

United were rumoured to have met with their counterparts for a swap deal involving the pair but talks failed as the Italians want to keep the defender who has been impressive to his manager Antonio Conte.

Pogba, on the contrary, has only made six appearances for United this season over a hamstring injury which left him on the side bench for most of the season. He is due to make a return to the pitch after been spotted in the training section with the team recently.

The 25-year-old was signed to United in a club record-signing of £89million from Juventus in 2016 and has a season left in his contract. United has yet a season extension option in his contract otherwise the Frenchman will leave the club as a free agent.
