German Bundesliga Resumes After Two Months Break
German Bundesliga have come out of the Covid-19 lockdown as games resumed on Saturday after the country ease restrictions on professional football matches after two months break.
Despite the resumption, all matches are yet expected to be behind closed doors until the end of the season in compliance with the coronavirus regulation.
Germany recorded one of the lowest death to the killer bug in European and Minister-President of North Rhine-Westphalia, Amin Laschet, said on the lifting of the suspension, "Germany will not overcome the corona crisis if European freedom of movement for people, goods, and services is fully restored."
Amongst the six matches played today was Borussia Dortmund winning 4-0 at home against Schalke, and RB Leipzig was held to a 1-1 draw by SC Freiburg. Bayern Munich will travel to Union Berlin tomorrow for their first game since the coronavirus outbreak.
