Chelsea Want To Sell Michy Batshuayi In Summer With West Ham Showing Interest

Michy Batshuayi may have just reached the end of his spell at Stanford Bridge as Chelsea are reportedly looking into putting up for a transfer in summer amidst interest from West Ham.

Though the Belgian struggles to get enough appearances at Chelsea and has on three occasions been loaned, Hammers will yet not be signing him cheap as he reportedly has a £40 million price tag.

In spite of that, Batshuayo has scored six goals in all appearances for Blues this season before football games were suspended. Rather than letting him leave as a free agent next year when his contract expires, Chelsea would prefer to sell him in summer.

For Hammers, that leaves them with the opportunity to bolster their attack with the introduction of the former Marseille striker and are reportedly keen on securing a deal for him. Meanwhile, Chelsea are understood to have been contemplating selling him but could not last summer because of the two-season transfer ban which was lifted in December.

The 26-year-old stay at Stanford Bridge may be marred by multiple loan spell - Borussia Dortmund, Valencia, and Crystal Palace, but he won the Premier League with Chelsea in his debut season (2016/17) and finished with side as FA Cup runner-up in the same season.
