Borussia Dortmund Make U-Turn On Jadon Sancho Transfer To Manchester United

Borussia Dortmund are not ready for a Jadon Sancho's transfer to Manchester United and believed the winger will stay at the club even in the summer transfer window.

United is one side that is strongly linked to the England starlet, who is yet to extend his contract with the Bundesliga side. Jadon has until 2022 in his contract with the Germans, nevertheless, it is believed that he nurses interest to leave the club according to Sky Sports.

The club began to u-turn on their readiness to sell the player as their chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke told Bild in March that it is the club's "preference for Jadon to remain" rather than lose him.

At the height of the player's rumored linked to top-flight clubs like Barcelona, Manchester City, and Chelsea before the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, the Bundesliga side was understood to be ready to discuss a deal for the player.

The coronavirus lockdown has badly hit clubs' financial status having being shutdown since March and many have discussed wages-cut with their players and coaches of their senior team. The Germans are demanding a fee of £100m for the player which United might not be ready to dole out.

Jadon won the attentions of European clubs for his performance in the Bundesliga where he moved to from Manchester City academy in 2017. He won DFL-Supercup with the club in 2019.
