BBC To Broadcast Classic Performances Of Glastonbury Music Festival

Concertgoers will not have to come to this year's Glastonbury Music Festival, rather will watch classic performances of the festival broadcast by the BBC in the comfort of their homes.

This year's event that was meant to hold from June 25 to 28 was canceled over the coronavirus pandemic, otherwise, a crowd well over 200,000 people would have gathered in Worthy Farm in Somerset to watch Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, and Sir Paul McCartney on stage at the festival.

Instead of missing out totally on what was meant to be the festival's 50th anniversary, BBC Two and Four will air for four days, sets of previous headlines which include Beyonce, Cold PlayDavid Bowie, Adele, and Jay-Z.

The organizer of the festival Emily Eavis said on the idea of showing classic performances, "Personally, I'm looking forward to a weekend of reflecting on the history of our festival."

The program will be hosted by Clara Amfo,  Edith Bowman, Jo Whiley, Lauren Laverne, and Mark Radcliffe and will run through the 26th, 27th, and 28th of June on all BBC stations.
