Barcelona Offer Two Players To Tottenham In Exchange For Tanguy Ndombele

Barcelona have offered two players to Tottenham to pick from in exchange for Tanguy Ndombele in an effort to secure a deal at a reduced fee for the midfielder.

Ndombele is into his debut season at White Hart Lane and that has not been the kind Spurs would have anticipated. In spite of Jose Mourinho's mix-feelings for him over his performance, the Spaniards yet want him anyway and have offered either Nelson Semedo to Spurs to choose from in exchange for him.

Spurs' expectation from the deal is to recoup the £55million they lavished to sign him from Lyon last summer but cash-strapped Barca's plan is different. Nou Camp's position on Semedo's transfer is that, unless Spurs are ready to pick from either of the two players so that they can pay a lesser fee, a deal will not be possible according to Sport.

Just before the coronavirus lockdown, Ndombele was dragged by Mourinho, who despite admitting he is "great talent" in the team, slammed his performance after the team's 1-1 draw with Burnley, and threatened to stop putting up in the team's lineup if he failed not to get better.

"He's a player with great talent," said Mourinho. "He has to do much better and know I cannot keep giving him opportunities to play because the team is much more important."

The 23-year-old has only scored two goals in all 19 appearances since his debut in Spurs' 3-1 win over Aston Villa - he scored his first goal for Spurs during the game.
