American Soul Singer Betty Wright Passed Away, Aged 66

Soul singer Betty Wright, popularly known for 1988's No Pain No Gain and 1972's Clean Up Woman hits has passed away, the artist's relative Bella confirmed.

The cause of Betty's death was undisclosed by her niece but an African artist Chaka Chaka had called for prayers for what was believed to be for the singer's failing health condition in a tweet last weekend before her eventual demise.

"I just lost my aunt this morning...and now my mood has changed...sleep in peace aunty Betty Wright. Fly high angel," Bella announced her passing away via a tweet on Sunday.

During Betty's music career, she peaked at the sixth position on the Billboard Chart with Clean Up Woman a song from her second studio album I Love The Way You Love released in 1972.
