Ajax Approves Of Donny van de Beek's Summer Exit

Donny van de Beek has been given the approval to leave Ajax in summer by the club's chief director Edin van der Sar amidst enviable interests from top European clubs.

Edwin is without denial that it is in the Dutch side's interest to sell the midfielder in summer but will only accept a fee that matches their demand from any interested club in the next transfer window.

"Last year, we made verbal agreements with [Nicolas] Tagliafico and Van de Beek to stay another season," said Edwin. " Then we look to help each other and find the next step in their careers. Nothing has changed."

European clubs coming after the 23-year-old are the heavyweights such as Tottenham, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Barcelona and for they will have to cough out a fee of £33 million as demanded by the Dutch side for the player.

The Dutch are not intending to drop their fee despite the adversity faced by European clubs by the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown since March which has devastated most club's finances.

Edin went to explain why the Dutch side have such a huge fee for the player that, "The big clubs such as Bayern Munich have said the benchmark fee will go down in the next few transfer windows."
