The Suicide Squad Trailer, Images Release To Be Delayed
The first official teaser for The Suicide Squad and its official poster will not be dropped any time soon, all because of the Covid-19 outbreak, the film director James Gunn has revealed. Besides the aforementioned, the film's release date remains unchanged as scheduled which is on August 6.
James revealed this during a chat with his followers on social media when a fan asked him about the image of the film release date, that he assured the fans the film will be coming out as scheduled but there will be a delay on the teaser and official images release.
He also pointed out that film production has not been impacted by the coronavirus lockdown as he had already finished major part of the photography and only has editing to do. That, he said he is doing at his convenience at home.
"I wish we were but, as you might imagine, although editing The Suicide Squad has been pretty smooth...(I'm working on the cut right now)," he replied the fan. "There are a lot of other factors slowed - some of those related to releasing images, trailer, etc."
Gunn was previously fired by DC Universe following an accusation of rape in 2018 but was hired last year by Warner Bros. to direct the sequel to Suicide Squad, which initially was meant to be titled as Suicide Squad 2.
The film will be starring Idris Elba and Pete Davidson, and Margot Robbie will be reprising her role as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney returning as Captain Boomerang and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
