Spanish Analyst Believes Paul Pogba Will Sign New Manchester United Contract
It might all be all over yet between Manchester United and Paul Pogba as the midfielder is expected to renew his contract with the club amidst interest from Real Madrid.
Pogba for a long time has been in the middle of a transfer tussle between Real Madrid and United which Red Devils are not keen on losing the player they signed in a club record-signing of £98 million from Juventus in 2016.
Besides the possibilities of losing Pogba to the Spaniards, they waded off their counterpart by requesting a fee that was out of reach - their intent was to recoup their expenses on the Frenchman.
A Spanish analyst by the name Guillem Balague dismissed the possibilities of Pogba leaving Old Trafford in summer, rather he believed Real will not be ready to meet up with the fee in the deal.
"The money in that deal means that Real Madrid I don't think have Paul Pogba as a priority," said Guillem on his YouTube channel. "I do feel that a player like him would be better serviced at Manchester United where he will be the leader, physically he will be fit finally."
This season has not been good on Pogba following an ankle injury that left him on the sideline and has only made five appearances in all competitions.
In spite of this, he only has not favour a transfer to Real but also a return to Juventus. However, United's inability to make Champions League appearance appeared to be one of the motivating factors amongst other reasons.
Guillem added, "It's not a good time to leave I don't think and I believe that they're going to convince him to stay with a new contract. But we'll have to see because this is very early in the conversations in that department."
