Rihanna Makes History By Wearing Durag On British Vogue Issue Cover
Never better had anyone appeared on the prestigious British Vogue issue cover wearing a durag until Rihanna did, making it the publication's first time to have allowed such outfit on its cover.
May 2020 issue cover will see the Barbadian singer making a fashion statement in the headgear on the publication cover making her the first person to appear on the cover in a durag. On the cover, the Work singer is depicted as a "rebel" who "rewrites the rules".
Besides wearing durag, Riri is also the first black woman ever to debut the magazine's cover on the prestigious September in 2018 - it was the first one hundred year history of the media outlet.
The cover picture was taken by renowned photographer Steven Klein. Her first historic Vogue issue cover in 2018 was taken by the outlet's editor-in-chief Edward Enninful.
She wrote on an Instagram update, "Gang back in da Stu!! @Edward_Enninful and I are back at it again with @StevenKleinStudio for the May 2020 cover of @BritishVogue 🥰✊🏿 available Friday, April 3rd!"
