Rihanna And Twitter Boss Donate $4.2M To Help Domestic Abuse Victims In Coronavirus Lockdown
Pop Singer Rihanna and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey have pulled funds together to help persons, who for the reason of domestic abuse, having lost their shelter with no means to feed during this coronavirus lockdown in Los Angeles.
The Barbadian singer and beautician had previously teamed up with Roc Nation owner, Shawn 'Jay-Z' Carter donated a sum of two million dollars towards tackling the spread of COVID-19 in the United States. They both donated the funds through their respective charity organizations.
On this separate occasion, Jack and Rihanna together made a donation of £4.2 million through Clara Lionel Foundation - a charity organization owned by the 'Work' singer - with the purpose of assisting persons who are victims of abuses through the Major's Funds to which the monies are made available to.
The city of Los Angeles reportedly records at least 90 victims showing up for help weekly and this fund is aimed at providing shelter, meal, and counseling for the victims. All victims will enjoy these provisions for a period of 10 weeks.
Rihanna is the richest female musician in the world with a net worth of $600 million according to Forbes. She is presently working on her ninth album after four years hiatus.
