Real Madrid Players And Coaches Voluntarily Agree To Take Wage-Cut
Real Madrid players have agreed to take pay-cut as long as the league remains suspended over the Covid-19 pandemic which is the reason for the cancellations.
Just as the counterparts, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid's players have accepted to take 70 percent wages-cut but Real are going to be getting only 20 percent cut and this will last for the rest of the 2019/20 season.
Real confirmed in a statement that the decision was voluntarily made by the "players and coaches from both the football and basketball team, led by their captains". The statement also added, "This decision adopted by players, coaches, and employees, avoid traumatic measures affecting the rest of the staff."
Unlike Real, their Italian Serie A counterparts, Juventus, will be getting 70 percent pay-cut for three months, which will save the club £90 million in their financial report for the year 2019-20 season.
