Real Madrid Join Race For Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
It was Manchester United and Barcelona, who are contending for Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang until Real Madrid joined in as Arsenal's fate of keeping the player is in the balance.
Aubameyang will be in the last lap of his stay at Arsenal after the season which has been subjected to suspension following coronavirus outbreak. Mikel Arteta is already understood to be lining up Real's misfit striker Luka Jovic as a replacement.
According to a Spanish newspaper Sport, Real are understood to have put £43 million up for the striker, whose country's FA president has urged to leave Arsenal for a more "ambitious" as they are closely following his performance in Europe.
Introducing the Gabonese player into the squad at Santiago Bernabeu, will help boost the attack alongside Karim Benzema. At the same time, they stand the chance to bring in Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba in summer who they have long been vying for.
The former Borussia Dortmund striker will be out of contract with Arsenal in 2021 and has been unable to win a trophy with the club since 2018 except finishing with the side as runner-up in the EFL (2017-18) and UEFA Europa League (2018-19)
