Paris Saints Germain Players Kick Against Pay-Cut As Ligue 1 Season Remain Suspended


Neymar Jr and every other player in Paris Saint Germain will have their wages paid to them in full without missing a dim despite as they reportedly have rejected calls to take pay-cut over the coronavirus pandemic.

European giants like Barcelona, Juventus and Real Madrid have agreed to take wage-cut to help their clubs to save some money in this time of coronavirus pandemic which has forced football games to be suspended.

PSG were in the lead of the Ligue 1 with 12 points clear the closest team Marseille before games were suspended. They stand being crown the league champion as football competition is not expected to resume in the country until September following a statement from France Prime Minister, Edouard Philippe.

Philippe announced that the country will not relax the lockdown until May 11 which does not include professional sporting events that have been outlawed until September.

"The 2019-20 season of professional sports, including football, will not be able to resume," said Philippe in his statement.

The Prime Minister clarified that outdoor individual sporting practice will be allowed after relaxing the lockdown but "It will not be possible, neither to practice sport in cover places nor team or contact sports."

Not accepting pay-cut means Neymar will yet earn £2.6 million this month, Kylian Mbappe £1.6m, Edinson Cavani £1.1m, and the team captain Thiago Silva £1.3m.
