Naira Marley Risks Court Case For Breaking Lockdown Rules
Nigerian pop singer Naira Marley, otherwise known as Fashola Azeez, has turned himself in at the police station for flouting the social distancing rules on the Covid-19 pandemic.
Marley was in the attendant of a birthday party hosted by Funke Akindele and her husband Abdul Rasheem Bello on Sunday at their residence in Lekki, Lagos.
The couple has been fined and sentenced to 14-day community service with the demand that they give the court the details of all persons in the birthday clip that surface online. Amongst those in the clip was the 'Soapy' singer.
Balance Elkana, spokesperson of the police force in Lagos, confirmed that Marley is in their custody after he handed himself over at the station on Monday following the court ruling over Funke and Bello's case.
