Juventus Might Let Cristiano Ronaldo Rejoin Real Madrid In Summer
Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid's relationship might not be over yet as Juventus are reportedly considering selling the forward to his former club as game suspension continues to hit hard on their financial books.
The move by Turin is reportedly just so that they can recover their losses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and to get rid of their financial burden, they might have to sell the Portuguese to cash-rich Real. They are hoping to part way with him for a cut-price of £50 million according to The Sun.
Ronaldo had a successful spell at Real where he led the side to win three successive Champions League titles after he had won the title with the side. In total, he won eight silverware with Real before he was sold to Juventus in 2018.
Juve coughed out £100 million to secure the striker's move to Italy and he earns as much as £500,000-a-week. Since his arrival in Turin, he has led the side to win the Italian Serie A back-to-back but not the Champions League title.
Meanwhile, there is a contrary position to this speculation and that is according to a Spanish media outlet AS, which claimed the 35-year-old will not be making a Real Madrid return quoting a source from the club as saying, "He does not fit into the sporting policy of the club."
Instead of the former Real forward, AS claimed Paris Saint Germain striker Kylian Mbappe is one player who is top on the club's priority. Mind you, the Frenchman has been reluctant to renew his contract with the Ligue 1 side despite having until 2022 in the contract.
Already, Juve's senior team has agreed with the club to take 70 percent pay-cut which is expected to save the club as much as £90 million. That will be bolstering their financial report for the year 2019/2020.
