Coronavirus Pandemic Impeded Kylian Mbappe's Transfer To Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe should have known his fate about his future at Paris Saint Germain had it not been for the coronavirus outbreak that forced football games to be suspended all across Europe.

Sources close to Real Madrid claimed the player was just a few inches away from securing his transfer to Santiago Bernabeu from PSG when the suspension was enforced.

Real Manager Zinedine Zidane has not been in denial of his admiration for the Frenchman who on some occasions has indicated his desire to leave PSG for the La Liga giants. Mbappe has two more years to run in his contract and there are no indications that he would be interested to stay in Paris any longer.

Mbappe got shot to the limelight after his incredible performance at the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia that helped France won the trophy for the first time in 20 years. The 21-year-old has scored 30 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions in this term before the suspension.

Besides Mbappe, Zidane is also pressing on bringing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba to Spain and the Frenchman is also keen on leaving Old Trafford in summer - a potential move that dated back to 2018 after leading France to win the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia.
