Barcelona Line-Up Coutinho Philippe For Move Back To Premier League
Barcelona, without a doubt, are not keen on keeping Coutinho Philippe after his loan spell at Bayern Munich but the Brazilian might be heading back to the Premier League in summer.
Arsenal happened to be the prospective new home for the attacking midfielder amidst interest from their London next-door neighbours, Chelsea, who also have shown interest in him.
Coutinho's move to Nou Camp from Liverpool was inspired by Neymar's exit to Paris Saint Germain in a record-setting transfer fee of £198m in 2017. Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp tried to convince him to stay at Anfield but proved futile. In the end, Reds did really cash in on a transfer which was worth £145 million.
Having fallen out of favour with Barcelona for his unimpressive performance leading up to his loan move to German last summer, the club would prefer selling him to take him back from Bayern. With Arsenal on board with the Spaniards, they reportedly plan to loan him to Arsenal with an option to retain after the spell for £74 million.
Besides Barcelona's desperate move to get off Coutinho's bill on his return, they have better options like resigning Neymar Jr., Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan, and Kingsley Conan of Bayern Munich in their wishlist for signing in summer.
Neymar and the Inter forward are expected to cost Barcelona £100 million each whilst Kingsley comes at a much cheaper price of £52 million - they have lined him up should move for Neymar and Martinez failed.
