Barcelona Are Willing To Offer Antoine Griezmann To Paris Saint Germain In Exchange For Neymar Jr.

FC Barcelona have found offering Antonie Griezmann to Paris Saint Germain as a potential exchange that can facilitate the resigning of Neymar Jr. to Nou Camp. This has been top on the Spaniards' priority since last week but they are yet to breakthrough with the plan.

Every effort to resign the Brazilian last summer proved futile despite accepting to take a pay cut to enable an agreement between the two clubs. PSG's sporting director Leonardo Araujo maintained the striker would only be allowed to leave unless the deal is one that is acceptable for the club.

Barcelona are somehow cash trapped in the period of coronavirus pandemic and its senior team has agreed with the club to take a 70 percent pay cut to enable them to be able to pay non-footballing staff. Since they are keen on bringing the Brazilian back to Nou Camp, they are will to let of Griezmann who they have valued at £88m (€100m).

That plan sounds good, only that the Ligue 1 side's valuation of £135m (€150m) for Neymar is another bump in the road for the Catalan side which might impede the striker's return. They also have on their priority list Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez and are also keeping an eye on Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Despite being the richest club in Europe, Barca might not have that much money to spend because of the impact coronavirus has had on their finances. Griezmann joined the club from Atletico Madrid last year and has scored 14 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions.
