Arsenal Line-Up Luka Jovic As Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's Replacement
As Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to leave Arsenal, Mikel Arteta is reportedly lining up Luka Jovic as one to fill up the gap on his exit in summer.
Aubameyang has until 2021 in his contract with Arsenal and that is not going to be renewed, as he would not yield to that except that he is on the lookout for a new adventure with links to Manchester United and Barcelona.
The Gabon international time at Emirates Stadium has been without a title, the best he has reached with the club is finishing as runner-up in the EFL Cup (2017-18) and the UEFA Europa League (2018-19). Jovi, likewise, has been struggling to get enough game time at Real Madrid which is unlike him at his previous club, Eintracht Frankfurt.
In the midst of Arsenal's link to Jovic is Chelsea, who is also monitoring the striker for signing in summer but according to AS, Real are understood to be unwilling to sell the Serb despite the player's frustration with making enough appearance.
Jovic has yet five years to run in the £52.3 million deal he signed to join Real last from Eintracht Frankfurt last year in June. In this term which is his debut season at Santiago Bernabeu, he has only scored 2 goals in all 24 appearances.
