Tyson Fury v Deontay Wilder Third Fight Date Announced
October 3 has been announced as the date set for the third fight between WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and American challenger Deontay Wilder.
Tyson will be defending the heavyweight belt in Las Vegas against Wilder who lost the belt to him in a seventh-round knockout with his face left bloodied from injuries sustained.
Wilder had failed to beat the acclaimed Gypsy King in their first fight which ended in a controversial draw before suffering his first defeat and WBC heavyweight title loss to Brit in their rematch on February 22 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Settling with the defeat was tough for Wilder because a team member in his corner threw in the towel to call off the fight when he was wobbling on his feet after being battered and floored twice. He later sacked the team member claiming he had warned them never to do so.
Tyson is expected to face Anthony Joshua for a unification fight after defending the title against Wilder. Meanwhile, that will hold after Joshua has defended his heavyweight titles in mandatory fight with Kubrat Pulev in summer.
