Tyson Fury Unveils Plans To Retire From Boxing

Tyson Fury has made an unexpected announcement of his plans to retire from boxing and it is just two fights away for him, then it is all over for the newly-crowned WBC heavyweight champion.

Deontay Wilder met his waterloo in his second fight with Tyson, in the seventh round, he was knocked out, ending his undefeated run and his reign as the WBC heavyweight champion. The fight was such that would not have been expected as he was left with a bloodied face from Fury's punches and was rushed to the hospital immediately after the fight.

Thus, since a rematch has been triggered by Wilder's team, Tyson has him to fight before meeting his compatriot Anthony Joshua for a unification fight possibly later in the year. Unlike Joshua and Wilder, Tyson has remained undefeated throughout his professional career in 31 fights.

"I've got two more fights left, then we're going to really think about what we do from there," he said on a British TV program This Morning when asked to by his wife, Paris. "I'm undefeated in 31 professional fights and this is my 12th year as a professional."

Tyson retirement from boxer following a battle with mental health issues after beating Wladimir Klitschko in a unification fight in 2015 that landed him WBO, IBF, and WBA heavyweight belts.

He added, "As far as I'm concern Anthony Joshua just has my leftovers. I never lost those belts, I had to take time out to deal with mental health issues so they're my belts. Until a man is defeated in a boxing ring, how can you pretend to be the champion."

On what would be his post-retirement plan, the Brit revealed that he would like to take up a coaching role at local kids' club to give them the opportunity that he had as a kid.
