Premier League: Chelsea Claim Big Win Against Everton

Everton fell big-time to Chelsea at Stanford Bridge where they were thrashed by Blues who took turns at scoring to claim a big 4-0 victory to retain their place in the top four.

Right from the first minute, Chelsea had shown their thirst for victory with an all offensive that resulted in two goals being scored in both halves of the game, as Everton were trampled on by Blues in their second win in seven league games.

Blues started the goal campaign from the early minutes but their first goal attempt by Mason Mount from Willian's cross was saved by Jordan Pickford. Mason later had a brilliant chance after Pedro set him off with a pass and he made an excellent turn on the ball before slamming the ball home in the 14th minute.

Willian scored and assisted in two goals in Chelsea's 4-0 win against Everton

Pedro later added in the second for Chelsea five minutes following a fast break from Ross Barkley's through ball. Just after the break, Willian followed in the scoring with a well-aimed right-footed shot from 20-yard that beat Pickford to the goal. Three minutes later, then came Olivier Giroud tapping into the net Willian's cross.

Everton had a slice of chance wasted by Dominic Calver-Lewin who cut the ball too deep to beat Kepa Arrizabalaga only to miss the goal post and rolled out of touch.

Apparently, the loss happened to be Carlo Ancelotti's heaviest defeat since his appointment, and on the other hand, Frank Lampard claimed his biggest since his appointment in summer and the club's heaviest since February, 19.

Chelsea retained their position in the table (4th) with five points clear Wolverhampton who followed in the fifth position but stand to be overtaken by Manchester United if they won their game against Manchester City.
